ABOUT PAULA

 

Paula is a voice and text coach to professional actors, actors in training, corporations, and women in business. She supports vocal health, vocal stamina, text and presence. Recent work: Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) post press voice, text and actor support: The Merry Wives of Windsor, School for Scandal, As You Like It, Pericles, New Real, Othello, Red Shoes, Twelfth Night, Hamlet, Edward II. Other recent credits include: Macbeth (City Theatre Reykjavik), The Merchant of Venice 1936 (Trafalgar Theatre Productions), Love's Labour’s Lost (RSC Next Generation), corporate presentation and 1-1 private vocal, text and presence training.

Paula is an Associate Faculty Member of The Patsy Rodenburg Academy and a Registered PRA Associate.  ( www.patsyrodenburg.co.uk )

 

Paula teaches/ has taught actors in training at UK and US drama schools to include: Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), The Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GSMD), London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), Florida State University, Penn State University, Muhlenberg College, University of Connecticut,  Asolo Rep Theatre, under the Theatre Academy London Programmes, Pegasus Theatre, and The Globe Theatre Education.

Paula has a private client base to include actors, teachers and corporations teaching both from her home in Oxford, London and the United States. She has a dedicated passion and practise to enable women in business to be seen and heard, using the authentic, full voice, and presence. She also works with vulnerable women and those at risk to explore their right to be heard.

 

Paula is a PRA registered Voice,Text and Presence Associate. She originally trained as an actor at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama followed by several seasons with the Royal Shakespeare Company and many years working in Theatre, TV and Radio. During this time, she was fortunate to study voice, text, and dialects with Cicely Berry, Patsy Rodenburg, Jeannette Nelson, Lyn Darnley, Charmian Hoare, and classical singing with Margret Bennett.
